Musings for the Tenth of July

I’m sitting in a business meeting as I typee this. The current associates of P.D.S. Ltd. (which is a small startup based through my school) are listening to and conversing with our manager. Myself included. We’re talking about adding new product lines, and whether customers will go for this more than they will go for that.

It’s certainly interesting to consider what people will or will not purchase enough for said product line to be profitable for the business to start and continue, especially when you also start looking at the current state of the economy and how it affects people’s buying habits.

I guess that I’m simply a sucker for different kinds of psychology — consumer psychology being the relevant one in this case. I will be the first to admit that we barely scratch the surface of such a fascinating subject.

     Anyway.

Was given a book yesterday afternoon. Lewis Black’s Me Of Little Faith, in paperback. It’s awesome. Lewis Black is one of very few comedians that can make me forget anything but the wonderful jokes — even when I disagree with something. Although that is somewhat rare.  Absolutely wonderful book.

In a less than related idea, I’ve found the camera I’m planning on buying. Canon’s Coolpix S220. $150, 10 megapixels, and it comes in black.

So, that’s it for this post. I’m out.
